FAQ

  • Is Cart Path Only for golfers only?
Absolutely not! While our name is a play on a (not-so-popular) golf course condition, at CPO, we aim to make golf more accessible as well as provide a general entertainment offering. Our simulators cater to a large range, from avid golfers to non-golfers. Some of the key golf-related features include zero-delay ball flight, the ability to fade and/or draw the ball, swing and ball flight statistics, driving range and short game practice as well as access to some of the world's top golf courses and golf-related games, etc. Or, you can choose to skip golf entirely as our simulators offer multi-sport options, including soccer, football, basketball and baseball, among others.
  • Do I need to bring my own clubs (or other sports equipment)?
You are welcome to bring your own clubs and we encourage you to do so, if convenient. However, we have courtesy sets available for use. We also have soccer, football, basketball and baseball equipment to use on the simulators if you choose to explore Full Swing's multi-sport options.
  • When are you open?
Our Harrison location is a staffed location and reservations for members and non-members are only available during business hours (subject to change based on seasonality). During football season, our hours will be extended on Sunday, Monday and Thursday nights to correspond with the televised broadcasts of SNF, MNF and TNF (i.e., while we close at 11pm Thursday - Monday, if the game extends beyond 11pm, we will remain open until the game concludes). Note that we are have extended hours (6AM opening!) during Founder Member Days (booking available to all membership categories and non-members, but Founder Members book for free). Nothing better than getting some swings in before work!
  • What is your BYO policy?
Our Harrison location permits bring-your-own food and beverages. You may bring your own food or order delivery from a local restaurant. Regarding beverages, you are welcome to bring any non-alcoholic beverages and wine or beer (spirits are not permitted) to enjoy responsibly. We have disposable cups available if needed.
  • Where can I park?
We have complimentary on-site, covered parking available. The retail parking garage is located on Crucible Drive between Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S. and S. 5th Street. If utilizing the parking garage, you may enter our facility directly from the parking garage. There is also metered street parking available on Riverbend Dr.
  • What do you mean by Country Club amenities?
We have a complimentary coffee and snack bar available to our members and guests. In addition, each simulator bay has its own 65" TV to enjoy the game or show of your choice while you play.
  • Do you offer lessons?
We are in the process of interviewing teaching professionals and hope to establish a partnership in the near future to streamline lesson booking for our members and non-members.
  • Is there a dress code? Do I need golf shoes?
Cart Path Only is a casual environment -- while athletic clothes are preferable for your sporting experience, the most important thing is comfort while you play. Sneakers or any rubber-soled shoes work well for the indoor experience, but if you prefer to wear golf shoes please feel free (spikeless only, of course). Dress shoes or any shoes with a slippery sole are not recommended.
  • What if I'm a lefty?
No problem! Our bays are built extra wide to handle both lefty and righty players. We also have a lefty set of clubs as part of our complimentary selection.
  • How many people can play at once?
Up to six people per bay. For safety reasons, only one person can be hitting at a time.
  • How long should I book a simulator bay?
As a general rule of thumb, it typically takes two (2) people two (2) hours to play 18 holes on a simulator. Minimum booking time is one hour, with one-hour increments available above that. We have set the maximum booking time at four hours. If you would like to reserve more than four hours, please reach out to us at fore@cartpathonlygc or 973-287-8009. The simulator bay will shut down five (5) minutes prior to your end time to allow for cleaning/preparation of the bay for the next reservation. Please inquire with the front desk as to availability at your simulator (or another simulator) should you like to extend beyond your originally booked time.
  • Do I have to be a member?
In addition to our flexible membership options, non-member bookings and walk-ins (subject to availability) are always an option. See our Memberships & Pricing page for more details regarding membership pricing. We have specials for juniors, first responders (e.g., veterans, active military, police, fire, etc.) and Vermella residents. Please reach out to us at fore@cartpathonlygc.com to inquire.
  • What software does Cart Path Only use?
Our Harrison location is equipped with Full Swing's Pro 2.0 Widescreen simulators, the same simulator utilized by Tiger Woods and the same technology that will be used by TGL, an innovative golf league founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy in partnership with the PGA Tour (the inaugural season tees off January 7!).
  • Will I know how to operate the simulator?
Use of the simulator is somewhat intuitive, operated from a touch-screen located in your simulator bay. One of our staff will be there to help you get set up and will be available should you have any questions during your reservation.
  • How does your pricing work?
Our pricing is per hour per simulator bay -- not per person. Our simulator bays will accommodate up to six people at a time. Members and non-members may bring up to five accompanied guests. See our Membership & Pricing page for more details regarding membership pricing.
  • Are reservations required?
Nope! Walk-in guests are always welcome, but the only way to guarantee open bay availability is to book in advance.
  • If I'm running late, how long will you hold my bay before releasing it?
Your game play starts at the time you reserved, so please give yourself some buffer time for travel. If you are late, game time will be deducted accordingly without refund as we're holding the bay for you.
